Isn’t it said that rain is lucky on your wedding day? If that’s true, Melanie and Thomas are all set for a lifetime of good fortune. It poured all morning! Honestly, booking with me for your River House at Odette’s wedding might just bring you good luck, as it has rained every time I have been there. The bright side is that I’m already familiar with the rain plan. Luckily, Melanie and Thomas trusted me completely. Being the laid-back couple they are, everything turned out perfectly. It even stopped raining long enough for a few outdoor shots during their first look, and the sun came out for their husband-and-wife portraits. We were all on cloud nine in that beautiful light as we celebrated their new marriage. Since they had an engagement session with me at Valley Forge National Park, they were already familiar with how I direct and quickly create a variety of portraits. All they needed to do was enjoy the moment—and they did!

Every couple is unique. For Melanie and Thomas, their loved ones were the most important part of their day. With that in mind, I spent extra time during cocktail hour capturing every interaction as guests gathered from near and far to celebrate this highly anticipated day. These two have been a couple for (I believe) 8 years. And, they are so incredibly adorable together.

The service was exceptional. The food was prepared with care and attention to detail. The florals softened the space perfectly. And, the music—oh, the music! Imagine from EBE Imagine made it a party to remember. They sang songs I hadn’t heard in years. For the mother-son dance, Thomas and his mother, Kathy, danced to “Goodspeed (Sweet Dreams),” a song I used to rock my boys to when they were babies. Your family is already blessed with beautiful, kind, and caring couples; you two are the final piece of the puzzle.
