A Summer Couple at The Barn at Stoneybrooke

How to even begin to tell the story of this wedding day—of these people? It will be a favorite for a very long time, I think. The fresh summer colors in the delicate florals, the delicious food, the packed dance floor, the smiles and laughter—all surrounded by the exquisite beauty of The Barn at Stoneybrooke in full summer bloom. I’ve been photographing Stoneybrooke since it first opened as a wedding venue. Seeing it in all its glory on Saturday brought a swell of joy to my heart as I waited at the pergola for Melody to walk down the aisle to marry her Tommy after eight amazing years together. Melody’s beauty there made everything feel complete. She radiated a kind, calm grace that just fit perfectly in that scene. I love watching couples take up space in their dream venue on their wedding day—a vision, planned for months, finally alive with everyone there to witness the joining of two people—two families—for a lifetime.

No wedding day is without some challenge, but with the incredible vendor team they hired, this day was as close to perfect as it gets. I could photograph this day every month, again and again, and never get tired of it. Experience it from my point of view by scrolling down. Enjoy!
