A Black and White Stoneybrooke Wedding | Lauryn + Joshua | June 30,2023

“Where our story began.”

This saying is true for hundreds of couples who have made their wedding day special at The Barn at Stoneybrooke but for Lauryn and Joshua, it goes much deeper…

You may know that Joshua is the son of owners, Jenn and Merv Engel. So, he obviously grew up on the farm. What many don’t know is that Lauryn also grew up on the property with her parents Stacey and Bryan McNutt in the “little blue house” only yards away. They literally grew up together.

Getting married on the same earth that brought them together couldn’t have been more perfect to continue their story. The hard part was finding a way to make it special for them as special members of their family and with such a special story behind it all.

The couple decided, with the blessing of their parents, to get married in a special place on the property in the shade of the trees that were once their playground. An all black and white theme paired with rows of farm-style tables handmade by the family themselves, were all special features of this very special day.

The weather cooperated and with the help of an all-star cast of vendors, this day was absolute perfection. It was an honor to capture it for some of my favorite people.

Lauryn and Josh, after greeting you both at countless wedding days, it was so fun to greet you both on YOUR wedding day. The vision of the day came together in spectacular fashion. It was everything you all had wanted from your day and I couldn’t be happier for you. I hope you love this sample of photos telling the story of your classy, sleek wedding day. And, because I know how hard it is to wait, there will be a surprise in your inbox later today. So, don’t forget to check!

P.S. I would also like to announce — with a bit of a conflicted heart — that this will be my last client blog. As much as I love writing my client’s stories from my own unique perspective, it is time to allow myself to focus on some of my own personal goals and priorities. I hope my regular readers and future clients understand. I do love to write so I’m sure I will find a way to bring it back into my life in some way. I’ll let you know as soon as I figure that out.
