Martha + David | A Lancaster City Engagement Session

Martha’s exact words in an email before her Lancaster City engagement session on Saturday: “I’m really bad in front of the camera…good luck girl!” I literally LOLed when I read it. She emailed that to me and then proceeded to KILL IT for the entire session on Saturday. This was the first time I had met David. His work takes him all over the country making his time at home precious. Whenever he is home, he and Martha make the most out of it. Martha, being an independent “go-getter,” makes their relationship work for them.
For their rainy, Lancaster City engagement session, it just so happened that it was also Martha’s 25th birthday! David let it slip about halfway through the session. You can only imagine the extra hugs and exclamations that burst forth from me at that moment. We gallivanted all around the center city streets making the most of our time before the rain started to fall and my-oh-my did we have a fun session. The impending rain kept the crowds low, allowing for shots that normally wouldn’t have been possible.
Martha and David are currently in the process of wrapping up the final details for their March wedding at Scenic Village at Harvest Drive in Gordonville, PA this year. It will be a fun way to start off my 2020 wedding year. I hear we are having Chick-Fil-A for dinner!!!! It’s actually happening people!!!! And, I can’t wait to meet the family and friends I have heard so much about.
Martha and David, I can’t get enough of your self-deprecating humor. You had me rolling all afternoon. But in all seriousness, I love you guys. Thank you for trusting me to work with the weather and allowing me to shoot in a non-typical location. It was so fun to bring the city to life in the winter months with your love. Your wedding day is going to be so much fun! I hope you love this sample of my favorite photos from your Lancaster City engagement session. And, because I know how hard it is to wait for them all, there are some surprises in your inbox RIGHT NOW so go check! XO - Megan
