She was a vision as she stepped out the of car on her wedding day. First thing in the morning, Colleen was also wrapped up in anxiety and nerves. It is her personality to worry about every detail. I asked her if she was having fun when I greeted her at the doors to The Barn at Stoneybrooke after having hair and makeup done off-site. Her response, “I’m so nervous!” While she smiled graciously and held herself with poise and composure, she was anything but calm on the inside. I’ll never know what was going on inside her head during that first hour but I do know that the moment she saw Nick walk out of the door for their first look, she melted. It was like she was finally whole and knew everything was okay now. They both cried a few tears of relief and joy at the sight of the other and rest of the day is history.

A fall day at The Barn at Stoneybrooke never disappoints. I was especially excited to use the new space in the basement of the barn for mid-day portraits after their first look. It is a photographer’s dream. Colleen and Nicholas’s bridal party was a ton of fun and their families are about as close as they come. So many tears of joy and so much dancing into the night. It was a wonderful day.

Colleen and Nick, ahhhhhhh you’re married!!!!! Your wedding day was incredible and I just love you both so much. Nick, you are just the right amount of go with the flow that Colleen needs.
