Casey + Charles’s Longwood Gardens Engagement

We had Longwood Gardens all to ourselves.

JUST KIDDING! It was PACKED.

As we pulled in, parking attendants ushered us to the overflow parking….always a bad sign. I am still unsure of exactly the significance of what was happening there on Saturday but it was surely a fountain show and EVERYONE was there to see it. As with anything in life, there are positives to any negative and the positive of this situation was that all of the people seemed to be trying to secure their spot to see the show…so the rest of the gardens were relatively clear…even the conservatory! As the time ticked closer to the show, people started making their way out of the center of the gardens to their reserved seats, clearing the fountain area! Amazing!

Casey and Charles very wisely secured the busiest time of year (for photographers) far in advance for the opportunity to have their engagement session when they wanted it. This is the ONLY weekend I have for engagement sessions until December! CRAZY! As a teacher, this is a difficult time of year for Casey to sneak away for the weekend (they traveled 2 hours for their session!). But she was so willing to jump at the chance to get this coveted time-slot. Charlie’s attorney hours keep him busy all the time but he would do anything for Casey….even take engagement photos with a smile. I think we can all agree that they NAILED their session and I’m positive that their Valley Country Club wedding next May will be nothing short of stunning.

Casey and Charles, YOU WERE AMAZING!!! Thank you for being so easy to work with and flexible with the crowds at Longwood. It WAS worth it. Casey, you are gorgeous. I loved how you got excited with every child we walked by. You must be the best teacher. Your students are lucky to have you! Charles, THANK YOU for your willingness to laugh with me and show Casey how much she means to you. It is always a little harder when people are watching. You were a champ. I hope you two love this sample of photos from your engagement session. I can’t wait to share the rest with you. And, because I know how hard it is to wait for them all, there are some surprises in your inbox RIGHT NOW, so go check!!! XO – Megan
