Kara Ann + Bill’s Ethereal Susquehanna River Engagement

“We’re not sure what location to use for our engagement session. We are outdoorsy people and would like to incorporate the Susquehanna Rive in some way but I’m not sure where or how.”

Give me a little direction, trust me and I’ll make some magic. We had to wait on choosing the exact starting location for their session until a day or two before because I had to know it would be just so…and it was. It may be the first time I hoped for a little rainy/foggy weather but I wanted a hint of enchantment for Kara Ann and Bill especially after finding out what she was wearing and hearing her say, “It always rains for everything we do…so it would be ok and even fitting.” The misty fog made everything special. We were even able to get some shots with both the old and new bridges across the Susquehanna together. It’s something special in Kara Ann’s family who is originally from the area and now vacations on the river regularly. Kara Ann’s grandfather was 10-years-old when the old bridge was built and her father was 10 when the new bridge was built. So, to go from not being certain on location to finding one so meaningful and special…was a homerun.

Bill and I met for the first time at the session and I felt like he was an old friend right away. He was honestly so easy to work with too. What an exceptionally kind and gentlemanly man. Kara and Bill are a beautiful match and I’m incredibly excited for them to take these next steps in life together.

Kara Ann and Bill are being married in August 2019 at a private estate in New Province, PA and if their family and friends are as special as they are, I can’t wait to meet them all. It’s going to be a wonderful day, rain or shine!

Kara Ann and Bill, I’m SO excited about your photos!!!! That dress….your love….the fog….the river….ahhhhh!!!! I LOVE them all and I hope you do too. Here is just a sample of what’s to come and because I know how hard it is to wait, there are a few surprises in your inbox RIGHT NOW so go check!

XO - Megan
