Wind in the Willows Summer Wedding | Jenna + Aaron’s Vow Renewal Celebration | 6-6-2021
Over the past year between Jenna and Aaron’s micro wedding last summer on 6-6-20 at Wind in the Willows and this year’s vow renewal celebration I’ve wondered: What do you do at a vow renewal celebration? AKA: Your original wedding panned was ruined by COVID so you got married anyway but still want to party with your friends at some point.
And the answer is…
A Commencement Story | Manheim Central Class of 2021 | 6-4-2021
The audience quieted after yet another round of applause. It was time for our fearless leader to take the stage, Manheim Central’s superintendent Dr. Aiken. He wasted no time…he never does.
A Rainy Spring Wedding at Historic Acres of Hershey | Christina + Andrew | 5-30-2021
It was the sweetest aisle moment I’ve witnessed to date. Christina and Andrew chose to have a traditional timeline to ensure the vision they had of their wedding ceremony, seeing each other for the first time at the alter, happened…and it was worth it!
7 Tips for Staying Cool On A Hot Summer Engagement Session
Let’s be real. Where I live in Pennsylvania the weather is only “perfect” for about ¼ of the entire year…maybe. And so, guess what? That’s when ALL the weddings happen…April/May and September/October. This means that your engagement or portrait session will most likely happen during one of the “other” months. It’s probably going to be a little cold or a lot hot.
Today, I’m going to prepare you for those hot, sticky, summer sessions.

15 VENUE Wish List Items: From photographers everywhere
Though some of these items might not be possible in every venue space, these are some of the things that will make (or break) photos at your venue, make photographers love (or hate) shooting in your space, and make your couples so happy (or meh) with their photos.
May at The Barn at Stoneybrooke: A blue and blush wedding | Caitlin + Steven | 05-23-2021
They chose to read their vows to each other privately outside under the most beautiful wise, old tree. A sweet breeze blew in the heat of the May afternoon sun. It wiped away their tears of joy and gratitude for each other as they pronounced their love and dedication to each other for the rest of their lives.
Spring Blue and Blush Wedding at The Barn at Stoneybrooke | Christina + Jeffrey | 05.15.2021
“There will be a last dance and then a private dance for the couple before the sparkler exit.” I heard this said to me probably 5 times throughout planning and through the evening and it still didn’t sink in that private meant….well, private.
Neutral Toned May Wedding at The Barn at Stoneybrooke | Lindsey + Taylor | 05.01.21
“I have a surprise for Taylor. He’s going to LOVE it!”
Lindsey’s wedding gift to Taylor was a Penny’s Ice Cream cart at the reception. Basically the coolest gift I’ve ever seen.
A Spring Wedding at Harmony Hall | Kathryn + Brian 4.24.21
Their wedding day was beautiful. We started out with some sun to fill us up with energy, then the wispy clouds moved in for first look and bridal party portraits. By their ceremony it was officially cloudy and for good luck, it rain for their bubble send-off at the end of the night.
The perfect day surrounded by their favorite people.
April Blooms at The Barn at Stoneybrooke | Jaclyn + Eric | 4.17.21
It was time for the vows. Michael pulled sheets of paper from his officiant folder and handed them to Jackie and Eric. The intimate gathering of guests settled in to hear what these two incredibly intelligent, individuals had written for each other. They’ve written countless papers…maybe even a dissertation or two….but this was different.

Making Time for Wedding Planning
OVERWHELM. Planning a wedding, even with an excellent planner on your side can be really quite overwhelming. The decisions you need to make seem endless. Things you never thought you could possibly care about are all the sudden putting you over the edge, you’re not making any real progress without it taking your entire weekend and you just want to pull your hair out and get married already!
A Colorful Springlike Wedding at Cameron Estate Inn | Katie + Matthew 3.13.21
I stepped out of my car and inhaled deeply. Though it was still winter the air was crisp with a delicious taste of citrusy spring. The warm sun radiated over the ground at Cameron Estate Inn as it sunk, settling into the trees at the far end of the property, just scraping the tops of the branches as it began to retire for the night. It was Katie and Matt’s wedding day.
It would be a day of introductions. A day of welcome. A day of love.

Two weeks passed from first contact to meeting at Parque Ridley Creek for their engagement session. Without being able to officially meet in person before booking, it was fun to get to meet in person so soon after our initial emails.
2020 in the Rearview
I’ve been quiet the past few days. It hasn’t really been on purpose but I’ve allowed myself to slip into full family mode over the holiday. We all needed it.
